A sneak peek at our Spy Academy interviews....
Today we stared talking about daily news and the importance of knowing what is going on in the world we live in. Starting next week, each student will be responsable for presenting a news item to the class. A small (10 questions) quiz will be held on Fridays based on the weekly presentations. Our class mascot, Chunk, has been kidnapped! Someone from our school has taken him. We are being called for training at the Spy Academy of Canada for training. Then, we will try to solve the mystery of the missing monkey.... We have started working on our self portrait collages. This project will take a long time as it requires attention to detail, but the final product will impress you all! We worked on the tour of Hanoi in math class last week. We also start each math class with 10 questions that allow us to work in mental math strategies. Today, in English class, we discussed: - how readers choose books - where we can find books - when do we drop books - why you must be a good reader to be a good writer We were playing with scrabble letters today making as many French words as possible. Every group worked well together and some created over 50 words in a few minutes! Here are some of the Monkeys working hard on their class logos as well as their autobiography. We are off to a great start! |
