We are trying to solve a math problem that went viral recently. It is a grade 5 logic problem from Singapore. Try it out! Ouf! It's been a long time! We have planted some seedlings and they are quickly growing! You'll get a ha ce to see them when you come on Thursday for portfolio night. What a great day! Our presentation went really well and lots of people came to celebrate our learning. Thank you to everyone who joined us! We are proud of the work we did. Liam is so addicted to the Rubix cube, he even built a lego robot to solve it! He brought it to school today to show us. It still needs some work but we were all very impressed! We are learning how to make a Greek chiton out of a bed sheet. It is serious business! Yet even grade 7s love to play...so we played with our reading buddies today in their class! We are continuing to work hard on our Appa for Ancient Civilisations project. Looking forward to seeing the final product. Today we started our last part of our Greek learning. We are working in groups and using our creativity to create apps that would have been useful to the Ancient Greeks. Someone just finished their family cross stitch...is this your family? We are working on a Comic Life comic to share our knowledge of the Greek contributions we studied. It was such a beautiful afternoon to do some Rendez-vous activities! The boot toss was one of many activities done in the sun today. It's been a while....between being sick, attending a workshop and taking care of Dave, who had surgery on his broken ankle, I have neglected the blog! Today we started the day off with a guest who talked to us and gave us information about International Women's Day, coming up on March 8th. |
