It was such a crazy day today with house colours, pizza lunch, soccer match and Terry Fox run....that I forgot to take a picture! Oops!
Today we played a math game to practice the concepts of multiples and divisibilty rules. Now the students need to work on answering questions related to the game. This work is to be completed for next week. Today we watched a video called Cain's Arcade. It is a very moving video about a 9 year old boy who builds his own arcade out of cardboard. I encourage all of you to view it and to talk about it as a family. There are many lessons to learn from this video. Some students will take on the challenge to build something out of cardboard and share it with the class.
We gave been practising our observation skills. With practice we hope we will develop this skill enough to help us solve the mystery. Today was our admission celebration to the WES Spy Academy. The detectives in training agreed to an oath and were each presented with a special award. Ask them about it...they may share! Some photos of our outing at Chadburn Lake today. We picked lots of cranberries and will be doing some baking soon if you are interested in helping email Madame Sofie. We can't share much about our spy academy interviews...but here is one photo to give you a small glimpse. TOP SECRET! Some students completed their interview with members of the Spy Academy...others will complete his tomorrow. Until then, it is top secret! Photos to come tomorrow. Our class mascots have gone missing! We need to solve the case but need training to become great detectives first. The students will write an application and pass an interview before becoming part of the spy academy. There will be vigorous work ahead of us before we can solve this case. Stay tuned! |
