We did improv today. It was an everyday theme but we had to use the plunger. We alsodid an activity called passed the "ZOOOOP". You pass an imaginary thing with stomps and flicks. It was super fun! (Written by Manas)
Here are some of the monkeys on their way to recreational swimming today. They were all smiles there and back again!
The first of our sciences presentations were done today. We are off to a good start...learning about biodiversity. We look forward to all the other presentations this week.
Today was rendez vous afternoon! We played all afternoon at different stations. We even got to enjoy some sugar shack-yum! A bug thank you to Monsieur Alain for organizing.
The Monkeys are working hard at completing their stereotype project. Most of them are finalizing their media analysis and book review (due February 26).Their final project should be up for viewing after the break.
For more info go to http://stereotypes.weebly.com Today I was home sick, so I don't have a photo of the class. I do, however, have these two books that I have recently read and wanted to share with you.
These books have been influential in both my professional and parental life. I highly recommend reading them. I am happy to lend them out, let me know if you are interested. Also, if you do read one or both of these please let me know. I would love to talk about it with you. Or, if you have any book recommendations please feel free to share! Do you have green thumb? If so, your services will be needed.
In the near future, using the grow stand above,we will be planting seeds and growing our very own vegetables and flowers. We will plant our vegetable seedlings in the downtown community garden. Once we have a crop we will be giving it to the Whitehorse Food bank. For this week's art project we decided to mix together watercolour paint. We were trying to create our own colours and name them. The whole class (especially Manas) enjoyed it very much. (Written by Cole)
¡Hola!! We had a special guest in class today and we learned some Spanish! Manas's mom, Meera, taught us some basic words. Make sure to ask your child tonight...Happy Valentine's Day!
