We created our very own fraction review questions today. It seems like most students have learned a lot about adding fractions.
And we planted our first seeds today. (Sorry about my finger on the right!)

I went away for a few days and now I keep forgetting to post every day! Sorry. Pictures above are our culmination of our Ancient Greek theme. A jeopardy game used for review, my child playing with a "smartphone" made by Adam, and practicing our gods/goddesses summary. These are authors techniques that we are looking for while reading our French novels. This is to be completed for Monday. Today was Olympic Day and was it ever fun! We started the morning with an assembly. I would like to thank every student in the class for being such a help in making it run smoothly this morning. Above is a photo of our app project. They are amazing and everyone handed it in on time!!!!! I'm back!!! I enjoyed my time in San Francisco and learned a lot about learning and the brain. I have been sharing some of my learning with the Monkeys. Ask them about it. We continue to do some learning about Ancient Greece. Seen above are some students working hard on creating a smartphone with apps that would have been helpful to people living in Ancient Greece. The Olympics have started! We took a bit if time today to watch the opening ceremonies. It's an exciting event and we are learning about important facts related to the Olympics. We will be learning more on February 20 during our Olympic theme day! We are working on our art pieces for the Greek museum. Some of the objects are a discus, a strident, coins and armour. We worked on our last practice tests today. We have completed the Englosh portion of the FSAs and will be doing math for the next two days. Then we will be all done! Fiouf! BUSY! BUSY! BUSY! We have started the Foundational Skills Assessment today. We have quickly realized that it really isn't that difficult and shouldn't be stressful! We are continuing to work in our learning about Ancient Greece. Many have not completed their research related to the inventions of the Greeks and should be working at home this week to complete this. |
